How I came to put this page on the web: In January of '95 Melanie, our youngest, spent six months in Spain. As any mother will attest, knowing that there is no way to see your child for six months does things to your "MOM" psyche. The cost of trans-Atlantic calls being what it is, I quickly determined I needed to find something to keep me occupied. I had toyed with the idea of getting my Real Estate license (I am now a licensed broker) and decided that if I was ever going to do it, now was the time. It seemed like a good idea to also take an introductory computer class, since I was definitely not computer literate. We didn't even have a computer! Well, that was all it took, and I was hooked. This page was an assignment for a class that I took on the Internet.
Speaking of my Internet class...This was a class that I took at Craven Community College, taught by Lon Dow. They say that everyone deserves 15 minutes of fame in their lifetime, so let me just publicly say "Thanks Lon, for a great class. I can't believe the amount of material that we learned in 11 weeks. It was challenging, informative and fun!
