Am I cute or What!

Anybody out there own a pekingese? If you do, then you know that they are absolutely the most adorable looking dogs. However, if I were to judge the entire breed by Gizmo....well, they might become extinct. Why, because he is the most entirely useless dog that we have ever owned. Intruders could enter our property at will if we depended on Giz to warn us that strangers were about. The only problem they would encounter would be if they failed to walk around him, for he will not move to get out of the way of anybody or anything.

And as for being a lap dog, well forget that. If you are in direct contact with him scratching, petting, brushing then he will tolerate you for a while, but when you stop, he can't get off your lap fast enough.

He is also quite the stubbornest dog I've ever encountered. Mostly he just ignores even the simplest of commands - I'm talking no response (for a while I was concerned that he might have a hearing problem). He will usually come when Don calls him, but that might have something to do with the fact that he gives him a nibble from the dinner table most evenings.

So how did we come to call him Gizmo the Wonderdog?

We wonder why we think so much of a dustmop!
